Attorney-at-law Dr Agata Koschel-Sturzbecher, LL.M. in Poznań specialises in complex litigation in the areas of family law, civil law, inheritance law and commercial law, with particular focus on divorce proceedings, division of marital property, inheritance disputes and real estate matters.
She represents clients in divorce cases, both with and without a finding of fault, as well as in proceedings concerning maintenance, parental responsibility, contact with children and division of marital assets. In the area of inheritance law, she handles cases involving reserved share claims, division of estates, challenges to wills and confirmation of inheritance rights.
She also has extensive experience in real estate disputes, contract-related matters, warranty and guarantee claims. A significant part of her practice involves complex cases in which family disputes overlap with property issues, business activity, real estate or international elements.
As a litigation lawyer, she develops case strategy, assesses legal and financial risk and represents clients before courts at all levels. Dr Agata Koschel-Sturzbecher holds a PhD in Law and graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She also completed the German and Polish Law programme at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder).
She is a member of the Poznań Bar Council and Chair of its Legislation Committee. She is also a member of the Institute of Legislation and Parliamentary Work of the Polish Bar Council, as well as a mediator and arbitrator.
Alongside her legal practice, she is involved in legislative work, participates in academic and professional conferences and is the author of legal publications. Her professional and academic interests focus in particular on civil law, property law, real estate law and complex litigation.
